IES Accreditation
IES training and examination certification which demonstrates software competency is offered on all products. IES has linked with key England & Wales Accreditation Schemes, which are recognised in N. Ireland: BRE, CIBSE, ecmk, Elmhurst Energy, Quidos, Sterling, Stroma and NHER who recognise our certification. Once accredited with a scheme users can automatically lodge EPCs and DECs on the national register via our software.

Different Non-dwelling EPC Levels
Energy Assessors can only lodge EPCs within their accreditation banding, which can be at one or several levels depending on their experience on the different software:

Level 3 can undertake energy inspections of existing simple non-dwellings with frequently occurring characteristics using the SBEM method. This includes IES’s VE-SBEM.
Level 4 can undertake energy inspections of new-build and existing simple non-dwellings using the SBEM method. This includes IES’s VE-SBEM.
Level 5 can undertake energy inspections of any new-build and existing non-dwellings using the DSM method. This includes IES’s VE-DSM.
