If you are new to the IES <Virtual Environment> in order to get a good understanding of the IES <BER Assessor> and related modules it is recommended that you undertake the following online e-training, in the following order.

During the ModelIT and/or SketchUp into IES training you will cover 3D model creation, while in the Apache Session A training you will cover how to populate a <VE> project with construction and thermal data for performing Republic of Ireland Part L compliance checks and creating BERs. In the <BER Assessor> training you will be shown how to input data into IES’s BER module.
e-training sessions are priced at €320 per session (for up to 2 people) and then at €160 per person after that. Discounts are offered if you block book, or if you book onto the ELSOL/Engineers Ireland course.
Elsol/Engineers Ireland Course
IES has also linked the <BER Assessor> e-training course with the ELSOL/Engineers Ireland course on “Non-domestic Building Regulation Part L Compliance & BER Certification using iSBEM or IES <Virtual Environment>,” giving those choosing to use our software over iSBEM a comprehensive package that covers all the regulation knowledge and software expertise they need to become an accredited BER Assessor for non-dwellings. Preferential training and software rates are available to those booking the IES option on this course.
