IES to Host VE Training at Queensland University of Technology
Discover modelling methods and techniques to leverage the power of the VE

July 9, 2013 - IES today announced it will be coming to Brisbane to host a two day training event, July 10th and 11th 2013 in collaboration with Queensland University of Technology. The course will present a detailed overview of the modelling methods required and techniques used to leverage the power of its Virtual Environment software.
The course will be led in an interactive, 'hands-on' format making it suitable for those with little or no experience with the software. Attendees will also receive a free 30 day trial of the full software suite to allow them to put their learning into practice. They will also be offered extended guidance and support for using the trial as well as addressing simulations in the real world.
Topics for Day one include:

» Thermal model setup and applicability
» Simple / Detailed HVAC system modelling for Australian protocols discussion
» CIBSE/ASHRAE – Heating and Cooling Loads and autosizing sheets
» ISO7730 & ASHRAE 55 Comfort Analysis – PMV credits
» Natural/Mixed-mode Ventilation Analysis - MacroFlo tool
» Detailed HVAC systems modelling - ApacheHVAC
» HVAC Manipulation and autosizing, prototype systems
