VE 2014 Feature Pack 2
Now available to download
04th December 2014
We are pleased to announce that our second Feature Pack of our latest release VE 2014 is now ready to download from the download centre.
So what's new in VE 2014 Feature Pack 2?
UK Compliance Wales
The SBEM method for Part L 2013 Wales Compliance is now available within the VE. Our VE-SBEM is a free front-end interface that provides a 3D graphical route to the non-dwelling UK compliance SBEM engine. A DSM method will be available in our next release in 2015.
Open Street Map (OSM)
Open Street Map is an open source community for producing mapping data. The VE can now link to this database though ModelIT to import geometry relevant to the exact location of your building project. The Open Street Map (OSM) tool imports Surrounding Buildings, Landscaping and Roads directly into your VE Project.
OSM is also used within the LEED Navigator where it uses the OSM data to perform Urban Density and Walking Distance LEED Credit assessments.
We've expanded our BIM Support by adding gbXML Export and enhancing our gbXML & IFC Import by adding the option of auto-extruding geometry from floor plans within the gbXML and IFC files, and then automatically adding doors and windows.
