The Opportunity
The IES Global Team are currently looking for a Project Consultant to join our Consultancy team in our Pune office. You will be working as a member of our expanding international consulting team, responsible for modelling complex projects which can include meeting clients to establish project requirements. You will run simulations assessing building and mechanical system design alternatives and advise clients on the results of those simulations. You will have the opportunity to work on challenging, high-profile international projects and will be given the encouragement and support to develop your career, as part of a unique team of building simulation consultants.
Responsibilities will include:
- To provide consulting solutions in the energy simulation/modelling/HVAC domain.
- To provide support for model building and data gathering.
- Key areas: Multiple Project Management/Co-ordination, LEED Documentation, energy modelling, feeding thermal inputs into the model, analysing results, producing reports, etc.
The Candidate
We are looking for an experienced (minimum 3 to 4 years), building simulation professional with appropriate and relevant engineering or architectural background, with the following skills and experience:
Essential Skills:
- Engineer with Bachelor’s degree
- A Minimum of 1 year Experience with IES ApacheHVAC is essential
- Experience with LEED documentation
- Experience with Multiple Project Management/Co-ordination
- Experience with energy modelling packages like Visual DOE, EnergyPlus, eQuest, etc.
- Strong communication skills including speaking English
Desirable Skills:
- Skills on IES Virtual Environment software
- Projects done on USGBC LEED
- ASHRAE 90.1 PRM method
- HVAC skills with either design or system selection experience
- Heating/cooling loads calculations
- Building rating systems such as WELL, BREEAM, Estidama, NABERS, GreenStar, GSAS
- Familiarity with Revit
- Python scripting
