IES Consulting provided their services to perform LEED Energy modelling on this mixed-use building located on Windmill Lane in Dublin.
The project is comprised of a 5-storey office building with an underground car park, as well as an apartment building with retail units on the ground floor.
The consultants were able to demonstrate energy cost savings of 29.2% through the incorporation of a range of high efficiency features including heat recovery AHUs and a high efficiency boiler and chiller plant. Efforts to improve the performance of the building envelope, as well as the incorporation of daylight dimming and occupancy detection sensors, also contributed to these savings.
To help the apartment building achieve an A3 BER rating, high efficiency air source heat pumps were another important feature of this project.
Although the LEED submission is not yet complete, the project is on track to achieve LEED Gold certification.
