Energy Results Reporting

This script package installs a set of tools focused on extracting energy results data for VE projects and generating interactive dashboards and reports with the BEM ToolBox platform. The following can be done with the Energy Results Reporting navigator:

  • Manage user credentials: This optional step allows a user to enter and save their BEM ToolBox user credentials, allowing for streamlined generation of BEM ToolBox dashboards and reports.

  • Extract energy results to CSV file(s): Generates an 8760 CSV file for each sim results (.aps) file selected by the user with a column for each energy source / end-use combination. The CSV format is used for BEM ToolBox tools, or can be used in custom spreadsheet tools created by the user.

  • Extract energy results to bulk CSV file: Combines annual energy consumption, demand, ApacheHVAC coils load and unmet load hours data for multiple selected sim results (.aps) files into a single CSV file. This format is used for BEM ToolBox tools, or can be used in custom spreadsheet tools created by the user.

  • Generate B & P Energy Results Dashboard: Generates a BEM ToolBox dashboard to compare results for a Baseline and Proposed model.

  • Generate Multiple Energy Results Dashboard: Generates a BEM ToolBox dashboard to compare multiple results against each other (typically 3+ results).

  • Generate LEED v4 EApc95 Report: Generates a BEM ToolBox report for the LEED v4 pilot credit for Alternative Energy Performance Metric. The report compares site energy, source energy, energy cost, greenhouse gas emissions and time dependent valuation (TDV) energy with the possibility of earning more LEED points. (US projects only)

  • Generate GHG Emissions Summary Report: Generates a BEM ToolBox dashboard to analyze greenhouse gas emissions through interactive charts. (US projects only)

Note: If you save your credentials, remember to delete them before sharing your model! They are encrypted and saved to a file in the VE Project folder, which gets included when archiving unless you delete it first. Alternatively, avoid saving your credentials and enter them each time.
