Waterside Heat Recovery Analysis
This report summarizes an analysis of ApacheHVAC hot and chilled water loops and the potential for heat recovery based on hourly IESVE simulation results. It provides metrics, graphs, and other information useful in understanding the loads on these loops and the periods of simultaneous heating and cooling. With sufficient heat recovery potential, projects should consider the use of condenser water heat recovery, heat recovery chillers, or other solutions that can efficiently transfer heat between these loops. The report is aimed at identifying opportunities, providing conceptual equipment sizing and supporting decarbonization by reducing the need for fossil fuel heating.
Running the tool generates a local Content Manager report with (8) dynamic plots, narrative explanations with call-outs and more. It can easily be saved as a PDF report (8.5 x 11 or similar) to save or share.
