IES' Nathan Kegal, Vice President of Business Development, North America, is presenting from 9am - 11am on "Using building performance analysis throughout the design process with IESVE".
Nathan's session will provide attendees with an overview of the features and capabilities of IESVE software including early stage load calculations and energy simulation which can be automated to report to AIA 2030 DDx, lighting calculations and simulation including compliance with LM 83, thermal comfort modeling in accordance with ASHRAE Standard 55, CFD simulation for detailed airflow analysis, detailed heating and cooling load calculations, and detailed energy simulation for compliance with codes, rating systems, and tax credits. A live demo of inputs and outputs will demonstrate how IESVE streamlines the modeling process through automation features including baseline generation for ASHRAE 90.1, incorporation of ventilation standards (62.1 and 170), and the ability for users to create custom workflows and features with Python scripts.
