IES' Richard Tibenham is participating in a panel discussion at CIBSE's Power Hour: Updates to Part L Regulations. This session will take place on Tuesday 21st November from 18:00. It will be hosted i person at Buro Happold's office in Central London, with a livestream online with Microsoft Teams.
Following a significant update to Part L buildings regulations that came into effect in June 2022, we invite you to join us as we take stock of the impact that these changes have had on the approach to building design. We have crafted a panel of speakers to offer perspectives from both a design and developer perspective and aim to give an overview of the updates to Part L and the impact this has had on design, whether it is challenging enough and whether there are any gaps. We will also be discussing the developments of the Net Zero Carbon Building Standard and how this may address the potential shortcomings in regulation and ultimately drive regulation to be more ambitious.
This event will be made up of industry experts from design, performance and operation. The event will be chaired by Roaa Babiker, Associate director at Burohappold.
