IES, Bowmer + Kirkland and Integrated BMS pick up CIBSE Building Performance Award

IES, Bowmer + Kirkland and Integrated BMS pick up CIBSE Building Performance Award

Last night saw the 13th CIBSE Building Performance Awards take place at Grosvenor House in London, and we are delighted to announce that IES, together with Bowmer + Kirkland and Integrated BMS, have received this year’s Collaboration Award.

The CIBSE Building Performance Awards recognise the people, products and projects that demonstrate engineering excellence in the built environment. They are the only industry awards that focus on actual, measured performance outcomes, and not just design intent or performance specifications.

The Collaboration Award category recognises examples of collaborative working that have delivered outstanding outcomes, rewarding the use of integrated processes that deliver excellent measured building performance in terms of user satisfaction and comfort, energy and carbon, health and wellbeing, and whole-life value.

IES, Bowmer + Kirkland and Integrated BMS received the award for their work under the Education and Skills Funding Agency’s (ESFA) School Building Framework, which has seen the three parties join forces to tackle the performance gap as part of a truly integrative process. Supported by the use of IES’ latest iSCAN technology, the project team have been able to facilitate more effective benchmarking, monitoring and verification that ESFA schools are performing as intended and are well on their way to a solution which could help eliminate the performance gap entirely.

Congratulations to all the team for their hard work and to all our fellow award winners last night!
