VE Tech Tips - Create Space Groups Using Rules

The space groups function within the VE allows users to group spaces in their model according to various criteria. Space groups are especially useful if you commonly work on projects with similar building types, and may be based on use, thermal zones, floor level, or any other criteria.

This VE Tech Tip video looks at creating space groups, using rules to semi-automate this process within the VE. It explains:

• How to use rules to quickly assign spaces to grouping schemes in larger projects. 
• How space groups can be used to structure a model, allowing the user to quickly select a group of spaces which have something in common, for example, when assigning data. 
• How to view the spaces within each group by opening it in the model browser.
