On Tuesday October 15, 2024, the Florida Building Commission unanimously approved another Florida Energy Code compliance path with IESVE. The ASHRAE 90.1 - 2019 Section 11 Energy Cost Budget (ECB) method using the navigator in IESVE 2024 was approved for the Florida Energy Code 8th Edition 2023.
The user can now select one of two methods for Florida Energy Code compliance within the IESVE 90.1-2019 Navigator: the Performance Rating Method (PRM) or the Energy Cost Budget (ECB).
The IESVE Navigator guides the user through the whole building performance compliance process: setup, templates, automatic baseline/budget building generation, system selections, simulation, and autogenerated output reports. Both navigator compliance options create the appropriate Florida compliance output report(s) and supporting reports for the compliance process.
