VE Tech Tips - Seasonal Foliage Variation for BR209

The VE makes it easy to simulate seasonal foliage variation in accordance with BR209 Appendix G. It is necessary to read Appendix G for the rules on obstructions such as trees and hedges.   

This VE Tech Tip explores how to set up and run a BR209 Appendix G simulation within the RadianceIES application. It considers a tree outside a single room as a simple example, explaining how to run both daylight factor and illuminance simulations for Appendix G.  The video covers:

• Setting seasonal foliage transmissivity values for summer and winter
• How to set sky conditions when using the daylight factor method
