VE Tech Tips: UK Compliance - Dwellings

The VE offers a simple workflow to use an existing 3D model, to export data directly into the JPA SAP tool. This lets you quickly assess Residential Buildings, to demonstrate compliance with UK building regulations, and generate EPCs for dwellings.

Pre-populating JPA SAP from a 3D VE model, can make your workflow more efficient, to help increase productivity.

In the VE Tech Tip below, we demonstrate how easy it is to take a VE model with simple 3D geometry and use the VE tools to:

• Automatically create a room group for UK Dwellings, with all spaces assigned to it
• Define the dwelling living area
• Define constructions if these were not already assigned to the 3D model
• Use a single button to quickly and easily transfer all this data to the JPA Designer 10 tool
• Import this data into JPA using different levels of consolidation, to suit the project scope.
• Check the imported data
• Add any other data that is needed
• Perform the JPA compliance checks to produce reports as usual.
