View our series of free videos designed to help you get started with iCD.
How to quickly and easily create an iCD model using data imported from Open Street Map (OSM). Showing you how and what can be imported and how to edit once populated in iCD.
How to create objects such as Buildings, Landscape features and Roads directly within iCD.
Explore the types of visualisation available in iCD.
Understanding what the different energy and solar/shading simulation options offered and how to run a basic energy simulation.
Look at how to calculate water consumption and waste water for buildings, either using default data or by modifying it with specific building data if available. View the subsequent results, such as water use intensity, or access dynamic reports at model level.
Overview of the different default reports available within iCD. Including site, energy, water urban planning and renewable reports.
Setting user and model preferences within iCD to customise your experience.
How to manage visibility of different object attributes and layers such as buildings, roads, landscaping.
How to create, manage and use Boundaries to divide, group or combine buildings within your iCD model either by geographic zone or building attributes.
Understand what is within a walkable or bikeable distance from any point using routes along paths and streets rather than a standard radius method.
Understand how to create custom attributes and measure distances to specific amenities or services.
The uses of and how to create and list custom attributes.
Learn how to copy and paste common object properties across multiple buildings to greatly speed up model set-up.
How to run a basic solar and Photovoltaic Panel assessment. Covering how to create and place PV objects and undertake simulations.
This video covers the scenarios feature which gives an easy way to compare the performance of different design options or review the impact of proposed water or energy efficiency measures.
See how to manage the time dimension in an iCD model. It allows you to reflect site's evolution on your 3D model and also reflect changes of Building attributes which may impact simulations.
See how to undertake a multi-year simulation and visualise yearly results in iCD.
Socio-Economic Indicators are a type of custom calculation that allow you to have bespoke metrics and reports based on existing data from the model or user defined inputs. These calculations can be undertaken for either a single year or over a number of years and also model the interaction between user defined metrics if any. The current version allows you to generate values for the default socioeconomic indicators included in the tool as an example, or create your own custom indicators and calculations.
How to undertake basic operational costs analysis in iCD.
How to undertake basic carbon analysis in iCD.
See how to set and link your iSCAN project to your iCD model by managing iSCAN endpoint in iCD. It then covers how to launch a simulation in iCD that allows you to export the simulation results generated in the iCD into iSCAN. You can then plot and view these results as time-series data in iSCAN.
In this video we will look at how to import iSCAN data into the IES iCD model, and how to set tags in iSCAN to allow this import.
This video explains how to import data from iCIM into iVN. This enables you to automatically populate your iVN model with simulated data from an iCD model and/or measured data available in iSCAN.
This video covers how to import a .dxf file into iCD to accurately trace the footprint from the CAD file, and then edit layers and entities to create suitable objects for quick editing and assignment of data within iCD.
This video covers how to import an object from a SHP file into iCD and how to manually assign attributes and locate them in iCD for further editing once they are imported.
How to import a GeoJSON file into iCD, and then customise the target attributes prior to mapping for further editing in iCD.
