David brings a wealth of engineering knowledge to the business with over 35 years’ experience in Global Building Consultancy. Harshad provides expert CFD consulting having developed from a mechanical engineering background. At IES his global project experience has included consulting on displacement ventilation, data centre energy modelling, heat island effects, clean rooms and particulate dispersion.

Douglas is the IES Project Leader for BIM and has over 10 years of experience across our global projects. Douglas has a degree in product engineering, and with his BIM Accredited Professional status, is leading the IES product development on BIM for Analysis.

Edward is an expert in sustainability, LEED consultancy, and energy modelling with close to 10 years in the construction industry. A certified LEED AP and GSAS CGP, he is responsible for the management and analysis of projects within Europe and the MENA region.

Senior Business Development Manager, Ireland , (Ireland)
Gary holds an Honours Bachelor degree in Building Services Engineering from the Dublin Institute of Technology and is a member of the Institute of Engineers Ireland. He has been working for IES since 2007. Gary has worked and is active in the Irish, UK, USA, European, South African and Australian Markets predominantly on the software side of the IES business. With Gary’s in depth technical knowledge and experience of building performance modelling software and building physics in general, he is able to educate professionals on the benefits and use of the Virtual Environment software and work with organisations to identify the correct services and software solutions that IES can offer to their business, ultimately leading the client to marketing differentiation, technical advantage and increased productivity.
Vincent graduated in 1997 with an honours degree in building services engineering from Dublin Institute of Technology. He is a Chartered Engineer and LEED accredited professional. Vincent has been involved in the energy modelling industry since graduation and has been working with IES for over 22 years, both in supporting large international firms delivering complex designs and working with the IES development team to deliver the software platform to enable such designs. During these years Vincent has acquired vast experience in building simulation modeling and the design and operation of high performance buildings across the world. As a Chartered Engineer with further LEED AP, Building Energy Modelling and Certified Energy Manager qualifications, Dónal has worked on a vast array of LEED, Part L, Daylight/Sunlight, Overheating, Pedestrian Wind Comfort and Energy Audit projects, using building energy modelling to improve building system design, energy performance and occupant comfort. He has extensive experience of optimising natural daylighting and natural ventilation designs through building façade analysis, and feasibility studies for renewable energy, HVAC retrofits, lighting retrofits and net-zero energy projects. As a qualified Thermal Bridging and Hygrothermal Risk Assessor, he is also able to provide expert advice on how to reduce heat loss at building junctions and reduce both surface and interstitial condensation risk.

James is a Chartered Engineer with Energy Auditing and Energy Assessor qualifications. James has more than 13 years’ experience working within the construction and engineering sectors in Ireland and Australia. Such projects include MEP design, LEED, Part L, Net Zero, Commissioning, NABERS, BREEAM, Overheating and daylighting.
By utilising his vast experience in MEP design, commissioning and building performance modelling James’ expertise to optimise building performance he has contributed to significant energy, carbon and cost reductions on many projects.
Paul joined IES in April 2017 and has over 13 years’ industry experience working in Environmental Sustainable Design in the UK, Australia and Ireland specializing in HVAC design, building energy assessments, thermal modelling and environmental sustainability ratings.

Mark is a chartered engineer with industry leading knowledge and global experience of performance analysis simulation technology and process implementation at all project stages. This includes from primary masterplanning, concept and detailed design to operational energy audits via integration with smart meter and BMS controls infrastructure. In 2013 Mark was announced as a recipient of the Consulting-Specifying Engineer 40 Under 40 award.
