LEED Energy Modelling
IES provides sophisticated building performance modelling for LEED using the ASHRAE 90.1 Performance Rating Method Appendix G.
Our LEED AP accredited energy consultants are experts in carrying out modelling for Platinum, Gold and Silver certified energy models across 6 continents for many building and climate types.
Using the same model, IES can carry out multiple analyses against different versions of ASHRAE 90.1 quickly and easily. Our technology meets the specifications of all versions of ASHRAE 90.1 including 2004, 2007, 2010 and 2016.
Our high-performance simulation services assess a building design for the LEED New Construction and Core & Shell, Energy and Atmosphere requirements, and provide the required outputs for LEED-Online documentation:
- EA Prerequisite 1 Minimum Energy Performance
- EA Credit 1 Optimize Energy Performance (Option 1 Whole Building Energy Simulation)
The resulting models provide clients with feedback on the energy and cost savings resulting from the Proposed and Baseline buildings. However, we can also inform the design team on the opportunities available for design improvements that benefit their energy-efficient design.

Including LEED Daylighting Modelling, Fundamental & Enhanced Commissioning, LEED Measurement & Verification, Code Compliance across all states, life cycle cost and external comfort analysis.
