Used by sustainable design experts around the globe, the Virtual Environment (VE) is an in-depth suite of integrated analysis tools for the design and retrofit of buildings. The platform leverages a world-leading simulation engine to allow cross-team collaboration between architects, engineers and contractors, from concept design to operation. Embedding energy and performance analysis into the heart of the design process, and across the entire building lifecycle.
Explore VE capabilities and choose from multiple integrated applications designed to meet any of your project requirements.
More flexibility to users and increased functionality in line with industry developments.
The ideal tool for architects and designers during the early design stages. Helping to meet sustainable design goals and deliver efficient, low-carbon buildings.
Increase hourly annual simulation speed, by using IES’s ApacheSim simulation engine and the Parallel Simulation Manager feature.
Increase productivity and save time spent on tasks with bespoke workflows & navigators.
Achieve your target LEED rating with IES software.
Map your route to a fossil free, healthy & resilient portfolio.
IES offers unrivalled interoperability with other CAD design and analysis tools. The smooth and robust two-way information exchange between VE and BIM platforms speeds up the design process and facilitates digital design.

Qi Square Pte Ltd have used IESVE software as part of their Virtual Audits process to perform calibrated modelling and investigate energy efficiency improvements for a portfolio of bank buildings in Singapore.
IEN Consultants used the radiance capability within IES Virtual Environment (IESVE) to investigate the design of the first daylight trough for a high-rise office tower in the Tropics.
Pactive Sustainable Solutions utilised the power of IESVE Dynamic Simulation Energy Modelling to identify, demonstrate and verify the Impact of Change through performance retrofits to an existing chocolate factory in Dubai.
"Using IESVE for the last year and a half on a daily basis, the technology has become an integral part of all our assessments for all frameworks and projects related to the public sector. It has been essential to proving the many benefits of key strategies like mechanical ventilation with heat recovery, hot water heat recovery, generating BRUKL reports, calculating PV generation, assessing the risk of overheating and more.
Additionally, IESVE enables us to support the wider group effort with energy assessments. Recently we assisted Mace Construct with the bid for a package of school refurbishments where we were able to accurately assess the percentage carbon and energy reduction for multiple energy measures including fabric improvements and changing heating strategy.
Of great benefit is also the integration between Revit, IESVE and OneClick LCA, which means we can now use IESVE to streamline embodied carbon calculations as part of the work for our Net Zero Carbon working group. "
