The energy management team at Perth and Kinross Council have been using the IESVE to develop innovative new processes to ensure the Council’s building projects are as energy efficient as possible.
SSE have used the ICL range of Digital Twin Technologies and Daikin VRV Systems plug-in to create a calibrated model with 99.3% accuracy, to predict the savings potential of a unique heat recovery air conditioning strategy central to this retrofit.
SWECO used the IESVE to conduct detailed thermal modelling and Façade analysis of the iconic No.1 Spinningfields building in Manchester.
"Using IESVE for the last year and a half on a daily basis, the technology has become an integral part of all our assessments for all frameworks and projects related to the public sector. It has been essential to proving the many benefits of key strategies like mechanical ventilation with heat recovery, hot water heat recovery, generating BRUKL reports, calculating PV generation, assessing the risk of overheating and more.
Additionally, IESVE enables us to support the wider group effort with energy assessments. Recently we assisted Mace Construct with the bid for a package of school refurbishments where we were able to accurately assess the percentage carbon and energy reduction for multiple energy measures including fabric improvements and changing heating strategy.
Of great benefit is also the integration between Revit, IESVE and OneClick LCA, which means we can now use IESVE to streamline embodied carbon calculations as part of the work for our Net Zero Carbon working group. "
