What simulation engine does iCD use?

The simulation engine chosen in the iCD project can determine some of the building attributes available to be set. To check which simulation engine is set for a project find this in iCD via the menu option

Extensions >> IES iCD >> Preferences

The selected Engine is found in the Templates & Units section and by default will be set to IES iCD - Integrated Engine

iCD Integrated Engine is a simulation engine included in the iCD installation and allows simulation of a detailed range of model attributes as inputs to APACHE dynamic simulation.

VE Engine is an option provided for users who have both iCD and IES VE applications installed, the iCD buildings can be output to a VE model that runs the dynamic simulation instead. This has a limited range of building attributes mapped to VE thermal  template options.
