Part L Ireland 2008 BER Doesn't Generate an XML for Lodgement
On 31st March 2016 SEAI published a new version of BERgen.exe in iSBEM 5.2.b patch 02 to correct an error with connecting to EPCgen.net and generating the XML for BER ldogement.
Error shows: Connection failed-Error description>: error:0D0C50A1:asn1 encoding routines:ASN1_item_verify:unknown message digest algorithm
IES were not initially informed of the updates but have now got the new BERgen.exe and been able to test this. It is available to download as a zip file from the link below, this needs to be copied into the BRE folder of your VE 6.1.1.3 installation as follow;
1. Download from https://www.iesve.com/content/mediaAssets/downloads/6.1/VE6113_BERgen3521_April2016.zip
2. Save to the local machine
3. Unzip to find the new BERgen.exe
4. Browse to the VE 6.1.1 installation BRE subfolder (typically C:\Program Files (x86)\IES\VE 61\apps\BRE) and remove the previous BERgen.exe
5. Paste in the new BERgen.exe
6. Launch VE as normal
