Apache Simulation Fails with Maximum Pressure Exceeded Error
How do I resolve Error in MacroFlo. Maximum pressure esceeded in room XXXX. Likely cause: air being supplied/extracted when openings are closed
When running an Apache dynamic simulation with links to both MacroFlo and ApacheHVAC on then this error may occur where an airflow imbalance has been introduced.
As the message describes this is most likely due to an error with the ventilation schedule specification. Where an imbalance is introduced at any instant on the HVAC system then Apache will look to address this balance via the natural ventilation (MacroFlo) openings. Air could be drawn in or exhausted out of an open window or when closed via the crack settings. The error may occur if the openings are not of sufficient size or if they are closed with no infiltration specified.
The error message identifies the affected room by its Space ID which can be found in ModelIT or by right click on the model rooms browser and then choose Display Space IDs. This way you can locate the room in the model to check HVAC system airside network assignment and assigned MacroFlo opening type properties to ensure there are no times that the controls have been configured so that the HVAC is imbalanced while the MacroFlo is closed.
