Naming/Saving projects
- Keep all file names and paths short if possible.
- Avoid these characters: * ? " < > ¦ , . : ¬ ` £ % ^ ( ) { } @ ' ~ # ) + &
- Save to local hard-drive NOT network drive.
Backups
- Make regular CAB archives.
- Export a GEM file from ModelIT (geometry only file).
Copying/Moving projects
- Do not move/rename files manually - use Save As.
- To send projects via email use CAB archive.
Drawing
- Use Grid-lock when at all possible.
- Ensure DXF files are at origin (0, 0).
