Can VE Calculate Weighted Average SAP for Apartments?
Part L1 refers to two options for showing compliance for an apartment block: testing each individual unit or using a weighted average for all units. The second option is preferred since it allows the designers more flexibility. Can VE calculate a weighted average SAP value for say a block of apartments?
Yes - that's what it will do if you include all rooms in the Part L analysis. Remember to designate the living rooms 'Dwelling living space'.
