Attached DXF Doesn't Appear in ModelIT Workspace | FAQs

When I attach a DXF file it doesn't appear in the ModelIT workspace

It is likely that the DXF has attached properly but the default colour for the DXF Element is the same as the background so you can't see it on the workspace.

To correct this in ModelIT select the Tools menu >> Colour Preferences, then edit the DXF Element colour on the System Colours tab:

The recommended colour to use is grey so there is a contrast between the workspace background, grid and attached DXF.

Note: If the DXF fails to attach after editing this then you should refer to the DXF guidelines to ensure it has been properly prepared for use in VE and that you have attached it using the correct units
