Does the VE use 64-bit architecture?
The VE will perform just as well on 32-bit & 64-bit systems - it doesn't discriminate!
The software however is a 32-bit application but as 32-bit Windows systems are limited to 2 GB of RAM per process, a 64-bit operating system installed on a machine with 4 GB or more of RAM will be able to provide more than the 2 GB limit which a sufficiently complex simulation would hit on an x86 Windows system reducing simulation time.
