How to specify a electric water heating system for Part L Compliance

I have a electric hot water system but i'm not sure how I should specify this in Apache Systems.

For a point of use electric water heater we would create a separate system to that used for the space heating. For this DHW system we would set the to NCM system type to Radiators and then set a fuel type of electricity and a heating efficiency of 1.

The remaining heating and cooling inputs won’t have any influence on the DHW system.

On the Domestic hot water tab of this system we would apply a suitable delivery efficiency which we would expect to be fairly high for this type of system. Any storage or circulation losses can also be applied here though we wouldn’t expect to have them on this system type.

To assign this system to the DHW loads go into the systems tab on the building template manager. There should be an option here to assign a system to the DHW. By default this will be assigned to the main system however you can set this to any system you choose.
