Peak Summer Room Temp with SunCast & ApacheSim

To calculate the peak summertime temperature please follow the instructions below:

  1. In Apache, make sure that the cooling and heating profiles for the room are Off Continuously (i.e.there is no plant). Save the project.
     
  2. Use SunCast to perform shading calculations (from the Calculations > Solar Shading for Apache menu) then exit from SunCast.
     
  3. Run ApacheSim with SunCast link checked.
     
  4. In Vista, select the room, then select the room variable (e.g. air temp), then use the Synopsis button to see the max of that variable.
