How is the Auxiliary Energy Value calculated for Part L2 2006?

The calculations for Auxiliary Energy under the 2006 methodology are shown below.

Please be aware that the 2010 approach is very different.

Following this calculation we would calculate Auxiliary Energy as:-

AUX-ENERGY=tAEnergy*ASFPadj *ADLadj*CTRLadj

AUX-ENERGY=3.26*(tASFPa*SFP+tASFPb)*( tADLa*Air Leakage+tADLb)*0.95

AUX-ENERGY=3.26*(0*0+1)*(0*0+1)*0.95

AUX-ENERGY=3.26*1*1*0.95AUX-ENERGY = 3.097 kWh/m2.year

When applied in an analysis the Energy is divided by nominal 3255 hours to convert into a power consumption.

AEV= (AUX-ENERGY)/3255

AEV= 0.951 W/m2
