How is the u-value of the window frame calculated?

 

The u-value of the window frame is calculated using the following equation:

 

OSR = Outside surface resistance

ISR = Inside surface resistance

FrameOSAreaRatio = Frame Outside Surface Area Ratio

FR = Frame Resistance

 

U = 1.0f / ((OSR/ FrameOSAreaRatio) + (FR) + (ISR/m_ FrameOSAreaRatio))
