Connect Floor Levels in Heating Layouts: Easier Method
Connecting at different levels is possible, though not particularly easy. And describing it is harder than showing it in training.
If you have a 90 degree bend at the ends of each run, and you want to connect them with a vertical pipe, the way to do it is this:
- Look at the properties for each of these 2 bends just to find out the exact z coordinate of each (e.g. 0.2 m and 4.2 m).
- Set the value for Lock depth for first point to the lower z value (e.g. 0.2 m).
- Set the value for Lock depth change for second point to the difference (e.g. 4.2 m - 0.2 m = 4 m).
- Then draw a pipe from the first bend - the direction will be constrained to the vertical and the other end should coincide with the other bend.
This can be done in an axonometric view so that it is easier to see what is happening.
