Using v6.2 but Can’t Select Part L2 2006 — Why?
PartL2 2006 regulations are no longer available in v6.2 onwards. The reason for this is because, currently to produce a valid EPC you need to use v6.1.1. Although the new Part L 2010 regulations came into force on 1st October 2010 as planned the related EPC section was delayed by the Government until 27th March 2011.
This means calculations for building regulations BER/TER (both at design and completion stage), will be to Part L 2010, but the EPC will have to be done to Part L 2006 methodologies so you will need to have v6.1.1 installed alongside v6.2. If you don't have v6.1.1 then you can get it from the Version Archive on the IES Support Centre.
Looking at the regulations included in each version
Also, to aid users that need to go back to previous versions of the regulations, we've introduced a new backward compatibility function that enables you to easily switch between the 2010 and 2006 IES VE Compliance modules installed on the same computer. You can access this feature by selecting the following..
When you select this a new version of the project is created in the same folder with [v611] appended to the name.
