License Activation Error: Software Failed to Contact Server
the software failed to contact the license server, please try again. If this problem continues and it is preventing your licensed use of the software, please contact keys@iesve.com
When trying to request or activate license keys an error can occur where the connection to our license server fails. There are several reasons this error may be shown:
1. We have found that use of non-ASCII or extended-ASCII characters in any part of the request license keys form may result in this connection error so ask that all non-standard alphanumeric characters are removed from the license request form and then try send the request again
To check what is included (and so should be avoided) see extended ASCII table here https://www.ascii-code.com/
2. Similarly the use of non-ASCII or extended-ASCII characters in your license folder and path set up for VE may also cause this error. You should create a new license folder and structure which does not make use of such characters.
examples of such characters:
- .भारत (used for websites in India)
- .网络 (the .NET equivalent in China)
- æ , ø , ß (European character sets)
3. This error can occur if the Company Name entered is more than 60 characters, if that is the case please shorten your company name input and try send the request again.
4. This error can also occur if your network environment anti-virus or firewall is blocking the connection (messages have to be sent two ways between our license server and the software on your machine when launching the software and when activating the license). If so proxy details can be shared to a network administrator to help them resolve this:
