How do I activate my licence keys?

First ensure the VE has been downloaded and installed.

Within the VE
Help > Request Licence Keys
Fill in form
Click “Don’t Have Email”

From the Taskbar
Start > (my) Documents > IES > LogFiles.
Attach KeysRequest.txt file to an email and send to Keys@iesve.com.

Once the request is received, we will process and send you an activation email – this can take up to one working day.

Once the Activation email is received either:

  1. Help > Activate Software
     
  2. Download from link in the email, and save into the licence directory and restart the VE.

    The licence directory should be one of the following:

XP - C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\ies\apps\Keys

Windows 7\Vista - C:\ProgramData\ies\apps\keys

If you are unsure of your licence directory, please check via Help > Troubleshooting > Keys Info.



Please note, the Application Data and ProgramData folders are hidden. To ‘show’, please do the following:

XP -

  • Open any folder
  • Go to Tools > Folder Options
  • Click the View tab
  • Select Show hidden files and folders

Vista/Windows 7 –

  • Go to Organize > Folder and Search Options
  • View Tab
  • Show hidden files folders and drives
  • Apply
  • OK
