My simulation is stuck at the Initialising stage?

There are a number of things that could have gone wrong, the first thing to check is if there is any reported error/warning in the log file.
Open the Radiance.log file (in the project/Radiance sub-folder), scroll to the end of the file and look for any reported errors/warnings.

These errors could include - a non-existent map file (map file not in Radiance sub-folder) or an unresolved reference in the map file (material/pattern/image undefined).
