Are the Toolkits right for me?
The basic concept of the Toolkits is to provide easy access to building analysis tools from a Revit or SketchUp Building Information Model. Therefore any Revit user of MEP or Architecture or SketchUp user should want one or more of the Toolkits.
If we consider two groups - Architects and Engineers - the major advantage to each is different.
Architects benefit from getting performance based design information at the earliest stages of the design when good decision making can ensure a more sustainable design. Frequently the engineers are not involved at this stage of the project.
Engineers benefit from getting a model from the Architect and they are able to quickly and easily assess Loads and thermal performance to provide much better and faster assistance to the Architect than currently possible.
