Why have you linked only to Autodesk Revit Products?
Fundamentally the Revit Platform offers us a better quality on 3D geometry and other BIM data VIA gbXML than any other BIM or CAD platform. This means that we can get higher integrity data for the VE in the form that suits the wide range of analysis available in the VE.
The link to Google SketchUp uses a slightly customised veXML to get the same high quality model import.
Until we can guarantee good quality data export from other 3rd party software then VE will continue to only import from Autodesk Revit and Google SketchUp.
