Does IES have a VE Compliance application for Part L 2017 Ireland using NEAP?
IES are currently working with SEAI on the Virtual Environment software associated with the 2017 Building Regulations for Ireland. We plan to release a VE 2018 Feature Pack update with the final version of NEAP integrated for generation of BRIRL and BER’s.
The Virtual Environment Front End Interface for NEAP product has now completed the development phase and is in the QA/validation phase. We have now received the validation package from the SEAI and have commenced with working through the validation process. Once the software is approved we will be able to release the final VE Front End Interface for NEAP. We expect to have the software available in April 2019.
Details of the updated regulation can be found on SEAI website: https://www.seai.ie/energy-in-business/ber-assessor-support/neap/sbemie-software/ Please note, the VE Irish Part L 2017 software application will be a Front End on the Simplified Building Energy Model for Ireland (SBEMie) version 5.5h. It is currently not possible to publish BERs using version 5.5h. The ability to publish BERs using the SBEM.ie version 5.5h will be added by the SEAI early in 2019.
