The Construct DXF icon is inactive when I attach my dxf file.

The reason the icon is inactive is because there are no room names on your dxf.
To use the ConstructDXF facility you are required to delete all the excess information that is on the drawing. Only leave the walls, windows, door swings and room names. You may also need to explode the drawing to ensure all the zones are imported correctly.
