What Version Should I Use to Produce a Valid EPC in the VE?
I previously performed a Part L2A analysis on my project under 2006 regulations using v6.1 and I now require an EPC. Can I use the same version?
Unfortunately not. If you need to lodge the EPC to landmark then it has to be produced under the 2010 regulations with the most recent version of EPCGen, v4.1.c.3 which is included in VE v6.4.
If you don't have VE v6.4 then you can download it from the Download Centre on our website.
When upgrading the project one important thing to be aware of is that some of the NCM templates and activities have changed for 2010 compliance, most should upgrade from v6.1 to v6.4 without any problems, you should get a report telling you which zones may of had some problems during the upgrade process so double check all settings are correct before going ahead with the simulation.
Further changes to Part L2 2010 are explained in the 2010 NCM Modelling Guide.
Please note that all EPC's are now produced with a watermark. The following text is written out by EPCGen.
"Please remember that EPCgen_v4.1.c always produces watermarked PDFs on the local computer of the assessor. The un-watermarked versions of the reports can be obtained from the Landmark registry after lodgement."
