ApacheHVAC: Radiators and Chilled Ceilings Not Working

The components 'Direct acting heater', 'Radiator' and 'Chilled ceiling' need to have their controls set up in a particular way.

  1. You must click on 'Sensor' to generate an on/off control signal, and this signal must be on for the device to operate. This feature allows the heater/cooler to be turned off under certain conditions, but in most cases all that's required is that a continuous 'on' signal is generated. This can be done by setting a high Set Point such as 50C (make sure 'High Sensor Input' is OFF).

  2. In the case of a heater the maximum heater output is entered as 'Output at Min. Control Signal (kW)' - which is perhaps not immediately obvious, but makes sense when you understand that this is the output of the device when the sensed temperature is low.
