Overview
Day's 1 & 2 of this course are designed to get you started with using the IESVE software and will provide an overview of its main applications including ModelIT, SunCast, ApacheSim, CIBSE Loads and MacroFlo. Day 3 will cover our newly introduced BER Assesor training. You can either attend all 3 days or, if you’ve already been trained in some of the applications you can select which days you wish to attend. Details on each session are noted below.
Days 1 & 2 of this course are certified for 6 hours of CPD per day.

1 person: €380 per person, per day

What you need
Please note you will be required to bring your own laptop to the training event with the latest version of the VE (and relevant licences) already installed. If you require, we can provide you with temporary training licences in advance of the training. Full details will be sent to you on receipt of your booking.

ApacheSim - Dynamic Thermal Simulation

CIBSE Loads - Heating and Cooling Loads (sizing)
Note: Trainees in ApacheSim, MacroFlo and CIBSE Loads must first have had training in (or be competent in) ModelIT. Please note the later finish time for this day.
Day 3
The IES BER Assessor training allows for the easy creation of non-domestic Building Energy Ratings (BERs), as well as compliance with Part L. It offers a unique 3D graphical interface to the SBEMie engine which has been adapted within the framework of NZEB for use in the Republic of Ireland. This training course will teach participants how this tool can be fully employed.
- Learn how to use this new tool to prepare building and system data and to perform Part L (Republic of Ireland) compliance checks for non-dwellings using the NZEB method.
- Know how to generate a Building Energy Rating (BER) for the building using the NZEB method.
